has many uses from clothing to curtains. Many people purchase Kanga for relatives or friends as gifts. The
sayings or proverbs displayed on the cloth have a distinct meaning that establishes ones beliefs. Women are known to use Kanga as apparel while men in some cultures are only allowed to wear Kanga inside the home. Women have many ways they wear and utilize kanga as an outfit. The most popular ways are either as a headdress, skirt, or dress. Now the Knaga is transforming from becoming more than a garment but is becoming utilized as a handbag. The length of the cloth usually is long enough to cover from head to toe. Most people buy Kangas in a pair which are called "Doti." They can be used for social and political reasons also.
